Value Time, a paper weight with embossed imprint of the ancient saying. It is handmade of solid brass, silver-plated in silver solution of 999°. The saying means to use time wisely. It belongs to the ancient Greek philosopher, Chilon the Lacedaemonian. He lived during the 6th century B.C. He is one of the seven sages of antiquity.

Chilon of Sparta was a Lacedaemonian politician, legislator, philosopher and elegiac poet, who lived during the 6th century B.C., and he was one of the Seven Sages of Greece. He was born in 600 B.C. in Sparta and died in 520 B.C. in Sicily and he was the son of Damagetus. Chilon was very honorable among his compatriots and he was elected an ephor in Sparta, in 556 B.C..

Chilon composed about two hundred elegiac epics, that have not survived. However, some of his important, full of meaning and concise maxims and mottos have been saved. Some of the most important and famous sayings are, "gnothi seauton" that means to know thyself, and "chronou feidou", which means to value time.
