SILVER LITURGICAL (MASS) PATEN, dated 1665. Detail from a silver ecclesiastical dish with fretwork from Paros. Virgin Mary and Christ are pictured in the center. It also bares an inscription of the dedication, dated 1665. Inspired from this detail we created a unique silver-plated copper artwork by placing it on a wooden back, which can be hanged on the wall or placed on a shelf.

SILVER LITURGICAL (MASS) PATEN, dated 1665

Silver ecclesiastical dish with fretwork. Virgin Mary and Christ are pictured in the center. In the inner side of the dish, the names of the Profits are engraved. It also bares an inscription of dedication. The dish is used up to date during the mass of the Holy Cross Elevation, a very important day for the Greek Orthodox Church. The original dish is in the museum of the Church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani in Paros island, Cyclades, Greece.
