We created a pendant in the shape of an aegagros (wild goat). The pendant is inspired by a crown of an unknown object from Asia Minor, dating to 8th century B.C., which ends in two wild goat heads with a suspension ring between them. The pendant is made of silver 999° and it is offered with a black satin cord.

The aigagros (wild goat), also known as kri-kri or Cretan Ibex, is a species of wild goat, and it is the only species of ibex in Europe. According to the genetic characteristics, the wild goat was introduced in Crete from Asia. Archaeological excavations have found several wall paintings of the kri-kri. It is believed that this animal was worshiped on the island during antiquity. But even today, it is an emblem for the island of Crete.
This sacred animal was probably under the protection of the Artemis Britomatris, the goddess who was born in Samariá in Crete. In ancient Crete, Cretans used the male animal's horns, on the construction of arches. Multiple illustrations of the aigagros in hieroglyphs, seal-stones and statues, vases and currencies were found, showing the adoration the ancients civilizations and especially the Cretans harbored for the animal.
Aegagros' exhibits are displayed at the Museum of Prehistoric Thera in Santorini, the Herakleion Archaeological Museum in Crete and the Cycladic Art Museum in Athens.
