Brig "Ares", Hydra, the ship of Anastasios Tsamados, which was used in the Greek War of Independence in 1821. The ship is made of silver 999° and is mounted on acrylic base (plexiglass).

The brig "Aris", was one of the most distinguished Greek ships during the Greek War of Independence and it belonged to the hydriot captain, Anastasios Tsamados. The brig Aris was constructed in Venice in 1807 and was named after the god of war, Ares. Upon the outbreak of the Greek Revolution in March 1821, Tsamados armed the ship and joined the fleet of his home island. Aris participated in many of the early naval clashes with the Ottoman Navy, but it became famous after the naval battle fought at Navarino on 8 May 1825, which became known as the "Sortie of Aris".
In 1829, the ship was bought by the Greek government for the new Royal Hellenic Navy and was renamed Athena. It reverted to its old name in 1879, and was in service, mainly as a training vessel for the Hellenic Naval Academy, until 25 March 1921, when it was ceremonially sunk off Salamis with full honours.
Ship models and oil paintings of ships of the 1821 Greek Revolution are kept at the Hydra Museum - Historical Archives, in the island of Hydra in Greece.
