The Colossus of Rhodes is considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. It was a very large statue depicting the Sun God. It is said to have been approximately the same size as the Statue of Liberty located in New York. Although it rested on a higher footing. The relief is made of copper gilded in a 24 carat gold solution and placed in a wooden frame with glass.
