Nine Leaves Rosette. This year we chose a design from a vase decoration from Kamares in Crete. The nine leaves symbolize the year 2019 together with an artistic "9" in the middle. The vases were found in the Palace of Knossos and are dated around 2000-1700 b.C.

Handmade replica of the ancient silver stater of Knossos, which is one of the earliest coins minted at Knossos. Its designs derive from the city’s most famous myth, the Minotaur in the labyrinth. On the obverse of the coin, Minotaur is pictured, holding an unidentified object in his raised hand, while a design of the Labyrinth, is shown on the reverse in the shape of a swastika with a floral pattern in the center and squares in the four corners. Inspired by the history of Alexander the Great we created a copy of this specific coin in solid brass, silver-plated and placed in a specially designed acrylic case in order to be able to exhibit both sides. The one side of the coin depicts the head of Hercules and on the reverse Zeus enthroned and the inscription KING ALEXANDER (VASSILEOS ALEXANDROU).
